BRADMOOR LAKES
CLUB RULES
- No litter is to be left in swims or at Bradmoor Lakes. Any violation should be reported to the Committee. Offenders could lose their membership.
- Anglers must be in possession of a valid E.A. Rod Licence.
- No rods to be left unattended. Members may fish from only one swim at a time and from designated swims only.
- Anglers under 14 must be supervised by a responsible adult while fishing club waters and may fish with only one rod.
- No person under the age of 16 may fish at night without being accompanied by a responsible adult.
- Members may fish up to a maximum of two rods from 1st March to 31st Three rods can be used from 1st November to 28th February. If this arrangement is abused, it will be revoked.
- All members fishing for carp or pike must use suitable equipment e.g., appropriate unhooking mat or cradle, large landing net & unhooking equipment.
- No fixed rigs or leads or leads over 3oz (85 grams).
- No fish are to be removed from the lakes or transferred from lake to lake (without committee authorisation).
- Resident wildlife must be respected, and no vegetation to be removed from outside designated swims except with the approval from the committee.
- All nuts are banned. For the period 1st March to 31st October, ground bait, including cereals, pellets and particles are limited to 2kg (wet weight) per 24-hour session. Between 1st November and the 30th April, all trout pellets are banned. Spombing is allowed during winter three rod period of 1st November to 28th February, limited to boilies and corn only and 1kg (wet weight) per 24hrs.
- No boats to be used, with the exception of the club boats (committee approved use only).
- No camping, open fires (including BBQ’s/Cobs), no swimming or wading (including dogs), no unauthorised shooting, discharge of firearms, fireworks etc.
- Members are reminded regarding the vacation of the designated match lake six hours prior to the match start time. Members in breach of this will face a one-month ban.
- Dogs are permitted and must always be on a lead and always cleaned up after.
- The use of radio-controlled devices is prohibited (without committee authorisation).
- Aggressive, abusive and / or threatening behaviour by members will not be tolerated.
- No longer than 72hr rule in same swim, no return within 48hrs.
- Day tickets – dawn till dusk only.
- Night fishing – only fishing from bivvys/shelters and from designated swims only. No fishing while sleeping in a vehicle e.g. in the back of a van.
- Predatory fishing – Predatory (lure and dead bait) fishing allowed 1st October to 31st March only.
In the interests of club members and the fishery, the following endorsements have been made by the committee:
- Please treat the toilet with respect and leave it as you would wish to find it.
- Lead core is limited to 36 inches (914 mm).
- Please keep the pathways clear at all times.
- The committee have recommended that carp anglers use a maximum of 12lb line.
- Treat fellow anglers with respect and courtesy.
- All anglers use sensible safe rigs (not fixed) for the benefit of fish welfare.
- Club assets must not be interfered with at any time.
- Please inform the Committee of any dead or diseased fish to assist with the management of our fishery.
Any committee member has the right to ask any club member to reel their rods in to check terminal tackle, baits etc.
Cars parked at the club lakes are at the owners own risk.
